Senior Audition (Age 12 and up): Christa Benoit (who, by the way was called up with only 3 other girls considered for special scholarships during the process!)

Lollipop (Preteen Hip Hop) - PLATINUM award! and 1st place in category
Uninvited (Senior div.-Christa’s solo) - PLATINUM award! and 3rd place in category (out of 12 lyrical soloists!)
At the Hop (Intermediate Jazz) - GOLD award! (missed Platinum by 1 whole point!), 1st place in category, and 1st place OVERALL in division!

Celebrity Dancedown Results!!!
As you may know, they had a “Dance Down” audition where aspiring dancers from all studios competed for scholarships/prizes. They were split into 2 age divisions: 11 and under, and 12 and up. They learned a routine quickly and then competed with the routine and freestyling against the other dancers within their age division. They were competing for 3 winners in each age division!! Dancers from 17 different studios competed!!
Results: Age 11 and under: Semi-finalists from Elite were: Haley Coates, Haleigh Kite, Sydney Koch, DeAira McCrory, and Mikayla Deer. WINNER of 1 of only 3 GIVEN: Haley Coates!!! Congrats, Haley and all semi-finalists!!!
Age 12 and up: Semi-finalists from Elite were: Heather Hughes and Mary Alison Jenkins!! Congrats to you both for making semi-finals in the senior division!
Special scholarships were awarded to only 3 dancers in the entire competition for their "potential." The judges "would like to see more of these dancers..." WINNER (1 of only 3 awarded) went to Haleigh Kite of Elite!!! Congrats, Haleigh, on this honorable award!!
Elite Dancers Take 1st Place Overall 3 Years in a Row at KAR!!
Among many awards and special recognitions, the team was awarded 1st place overall for large group category of all dance styles, for the 3rd year in a row! The Dazzlin’ Dolls team of Elite Dance Academy, Inc. in Phenix City, is directed and choreographed by Joanne Davidson. The team consists of dancers from the tri-city area, who perform and compete in Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop dance styles. They take various dance classes at Elite weekly as well as regular company rehearsals to keep them in top shape for competition.
Awards were as follows:
Senior lyrical duet “Feeling Good” - 1st place and KAR All Star;
Hip Hop “Lollipop” - Top 1st place and KAR All Star;
Lyrical “Crippled Bird” - Top 1st place and 4th place overall;
Jazz routine “At the Hop” received Top 1st place, 1st place overall, KAR All Star in large group category 3 years running!;
Tap “Work This Out” - 1st place and ‘Terrific Tappin’ special award;
et (Preteen div. Sydney’s solo) - GOLD award!
